This programme is designed for operational team members and Supervisors working in any style of food service business. The programme sets a benchmark for food service standards and is best placed as initial training or for a team member to develop their skills and knowledge. It is often used in internal training schemes to develop other department team members. For team members wishing to develop their career in Food Service this programme will develop the understanding behind professional techniques and form a basis to move onto further formal learning and qualifications. We would recommend the programme Professional Wine and Champagne Service is also completed. The programme will contribute to the off job training hours for team members undertaking a Level 2 Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship and forms a base knowledge for other formal learning and qualifications and would generally meet most requirements at Level 2 and some at Level 3.
Each module includes an end quiz to ensure comprehension and retention of key points. The quizzes feature drag and drop, single choice, and multiple choice questions, with the option to review and retake quizzes as needed. This programme offers a structured learning pathway to develop professional food service skills, culminating in a certificate endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality.
