Esprit had a proven commitment to staff and had achieved the Investors in people accreditation along with ISO 9001. As part of their recruitment strategy to become a lead agency staff provider, Esprit wanted to strengthen their existing process to ensure agency staff had the correct base training in place, evidence the training to clients and increase their client satisfaction levels. We were asked to develop compliance assessments as part of this strategy.

2018
The assessments were to be used as part of the recruitment process to ensure applicants understood base compliance: fire, safety and food safety requirements of front of house roles. The age group of applicants, on the whole, was 18 – 24 so the mobile route was the one which would have most success. 4 assessment modules were developed with visual appeal and using different activities. A pass mark of 80% was set.
A bespoke ‘Thankyou for your interest!’ module was developed for potential applicants to view before applying to join the team and completing the compliance assessments. This was placed on their website.
We developed a branded portal to manage over 1000 people and trained one of the recruitment team to manage the system with our support.
The Institute of Hospitality endorses all our training modules and programmes.
