Sustainability is a current and critical issue for all businesses. For a company to achieve its sustainable objectives, it is vital that staff understand what is to be achieved and how they can play their part. Whilst financial and purchasing decisions may be outside their remit, their ideas and practical application of reduce, reuse and recycle along with community participation are very valuable.
Sustainability Awareness for Hospitality Teams initially examines the principles of the 3 pillars of sustainability with practical examples to give an understanding of why hospitality has such a huge role in restoring and protecting the environment. The module then focuses on the slogan, Reduce, Re-use and Recycle and challenges team members to come up with ideas that they can action in the workplace.
The highly interactive module is specifically designed for hospitality and includes case studies of best practice for discussion, videos, games and activities throughout.
Our client-centric approach, coupled with our dedication to delivering exceptional results, ensures that your business stands out, attracting attention and driving engagement.
The course is delivered fully online and is split into four highly interactive sections. Learners will engage with videos and images along with questions and activities relating to hospitality and finish with a quiz to ensure points are remembered and understood. The module may be completed in short sections over a period of time or all at one go! In addition, there are links to websites and documents that can be used to research further learning.

If needed, incorrect answers can be reviewed before retaking the quiz as many times as needed
Completing training doesn’t always mean that action and change happens! Learners can download our unique actions plan from within the module and complete. By answering key questions learners can apply the information in the module to their workplace and identify ideas to contribute to how their department and business can increase their sustainability. Managers can use the action plans to discuss with individuals and teams and organise for ideas to be actioned.
The Institute of Hospitality endorses all our training modules and programmes.
